This painting was purchased by a woman who was visiting from Boston. She happened to work for an agency dealing with social injustices so she knew she has to have it for the office! It was serendipitous. John Lewis was a hero in my book. After his death I felt the need to paint him using a photo I had taken of my tv screen while he was being interviewed.
